CMAI proposes Pre-Budget Memorandum For Domestic Garment Industry

CMAI has porposed the pre-budget memorandum for the domestic garment industry for the financial year 2012 - 2013 to the Government of India. The Memorandum discusses the issues related to Removal of Excise Duty on Branded Garments Deduction of R & D Expenses including Sampling Costs, Funding for Development of Domestic Market, Standard Sizing of Products, Development of Centre of Excellence/Product Innovation Centre, Creation of Market Intelligence Database Ban on Imports of Secondhand (Worn) Clothing and more, alongside highlighting suggestions of improvement.
